Share links to threesome and moresome things that have made you happy.

Please post your subject line in the format: Title. Fandom: Relationships, e.g. a slight apocalypse. Teen Wolf: Allison Argent/Scott McCall/Stiles Stilinsky/Derek Hale and then use the comment to explain a little bit about what makes you happy about it. You might also give any warnings, if that sort of thing is appropriate.

Please write a wishlist explaining what you'd like in a story, what fandoms and trios/moresomes you would like fanactivity about, and what your squicks are. You may either write a wishlist in comments or post a link to an unlocked entry on your journal.

You do not have an assigned writer, but I hope that this will function as something of a prompt meme, and people will read the wishlists and make nice things happen for each other.

People filling wishes may choose to post them to Cookie Jar 2013. I will leave that collection open for posting permanently, but I will turn anonymity off on January 6. Whether or not you post to AO3, please remember to comment back here to let people know if you've given them something on their wishlist.

People writing wishlists may wish to include their AO3 usernames, just in case. If you would like an invite code so you may post there anonymously, let me know.

I'm sorry, I will not be running Three Ships this year. There's too much going on in my personal life for me to run the exchange better than I did last year, and I didn't run it very well last year.

If you want to run a multifandom threesomes/moresomes exchange with signups starting anytime between now and March 2014, I will happily post a notice for you on [community profile] 3_ships, on the 3 Ships website, in my personal journal, and I will send one e-mail notice to last year's participants and pinchhitters.

ETA: Follow [community profile] holly_poly for more info.

I'm sorry for the late notice, but it took me a while to come to this decision. Tomorrow, I will post two entries to the comm: one for recs of threesome fic, and one for Dear Sailor wishlists.

There is a tradition in conventions to have a "Dead Dog" panel at the end of a con, where you let the con moderators know what went right and what went wrong with the convention. I'm going to try that with this challenge, so it can run better next year.

I don't have many specific questions, just in general I'd like to know:

-- did I do something that made it easier for you to participate?
-- did I do something that made it harder for you to participate?
-- what really cool thing did I not do that you wish I had?

Comments are screened by default, please let me know if you would like me to unscreen.

1) I have revealed the authors on the main site.

2) An author has requested to remain anonymous on the cookie jar, but didn't tell me which story is theirs. Will that author please e-mail me so I can reveal the authors of all of the other stories? (I can already see who wrote what as part of managing the collection, so you are not losing anonymity by e-mailing me directly, and we can get this all done a bit faster if I can reply to you.)

Thanks for participating! Challenge again in October. I will dead dog in about a week.

I apologize for listing the wrong date in the story announcement post. Authors will be revealed on the 13th, as originally scheduled.

People have also been reporting some difficulty loading comments. I used IntenseDebate, like last year, which is a javascript-based solution, so if you have scripts turned off or extensions that interact with javascript, you may have difficulty with comments. If you are having problems viewing the comments on the story you wrote, let me know, and I'll get them forwarded to you in e-mail. People have also reported that they could see the comments in Chrome even when they couldn't on the same machine in Firefox. Personally, I've been able to view the comments in Opera and in the mobile browser Dolphin.

As happened last year, I will be soliciting critique on the structure of the challenge after authors are revealed. I'd appreciate it if you could hold back until then.

I'm sorry, I'm way behind where I wanted to be with this and I have some outside obligations today that are going to take a lot of time in themselves. I don't see how I can possibly get everything done in less than 16 hours.

I'm sorry everyone, I'll do my best to get this out while it is still Three Kings Day.

I have responded to everyone from whom I received a story on time (including in the longest grace period ever.)

If I did not respond to your submission e-mail saying that I got your story from you, that means I did not get the story. Please comment to this entry and send again, if the story is written. (Comments are screened.)

I have sent out the pinchhit requests needed to the people who signed up to pinchhit. If you did not sign up to pinch hit but would like to see what the prompts were, comment to this entry with your e-mail address and the words new pinchhitter.

If you are itching to write a new story, or have suddenly thought of a new threesome you're interested in, check out the cookie jar! 70 prompts are waiting for your attention, and you can still feel free to add more.

Please write a letter expanding on what you'd like in a story, what you like in the fandoms and trios you requested, and what your squicks are. You may either write a letter in comments or post a link to an unlocked entry on your journal. Your sailor (i.e. assigned writer) is not obligated to include the things you put in the letter, but they should avoid your listed squicks, and may better be able to determine what to write for you.

Make sure the name on the comment below matches the name you used to sign up with!

After much battle and hard work (mail merge, you guys, is the WORST), assignments have gone out!

Most people will receive TWO assignment e-mails, one with info for the person you were assigned, and one with your own info. They can come in any order, so you might get your info before you get your assignment. Both e-mails have gone out! (A few unlucky people have multiple entries in my address book, so they got their assignment at multiple addresses.)

If you do not get your assignment, check your spam folder first. If your assignment is not in your spam folder and it is after 12:01 p.m. EDT on November 4, send me an e-mail and ask where your assignment is.

If you get your assignment and don't know which fandom you got matched on, you can ask me.

If you get your assignment and didn't realize that anybody could possibly have asked for that threesome, which you can't write, e-mail me to drop out and get on the pinch hit list. If you do a pinchhit this year, it's as if you never dropped out.

If you have any other questions, you can comment or e-mail me at sesa@zvilikestv.net

P.S. You should now be able to post stories to the Cookie Jar. Cookie Jar posting is now open!

Assignments have not yet gone out, but the challenge is still ongoing. My apologies for the delay and for not publicly announcing the delay.

Barring additional unforeseen circumstances, they will go out Saturday evening.

I will send the information both to the writer and the requestor, so that you can write your Dear Sailor letters.

Signups are closing on Monday. 42 people have signed up to participate and 42 people have signed up to pinchhit (these are not all the same people.) There are 32 prompts on the Cookie Jar so far, feel free to post your own!

I have sent an e-mail to everyone who signed up to participate and an e-mail to everyone who signed up to pinchhit. If you don't see the e-mail from me, first check your spam or junkmail. Second, comment to this post with your correct e-mail address, and I will try sending you a single e-mail directly, instead of bcc'ing you with a bunch of people, which your e-mail service provider might have assumed was spam. Comments are screened.

Can't wait to get to the matching and see what shakes out.

33 So Far

zvi: Three Ships: I saw three ships (I saw three ships)
[personal profile] zvi
As I said previously, I am not going to be able to go out and do the individual fandom promotion I have done in previous years, so I am depending on you guys to let people know about I Saw Three Ships this year.

So far, we have 33 people signed up.

Fandoms people have offered to write in include: Buckaroo Banzai, Vorkosigan, Boy Meets World, Otomen, Luther, Pandora Hearts, Power Rangers Jungle Fury, The Legend of Korra, Psy-Changeling Series, and Tales of Graces.

Fandoms people have requested stories from include: Axis Powers Hetalia, Catch Trap, Hunger Games, Mass Effect, Sherlock RPF, White Collar, Torchwood, and Magic Mike.

Those are not all the offers or requests, but if your concerned that your preferred fandoms are not in there, please go recruit your friends and favorite authors. The more people who play, the more stories on Three Kings Day!
zvi: Three Ships: I saw three ships (I saw three ships)
[personal profile] zvi
I Saw Three Ships Signup are open and remain open until October 22. Please continue to ask your readers and people in comms for the fandoms you would like to see stories from to participate.

So far, we have had requests for threesome stories in the Ace Attorney and DragonAge games, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, the Iskryne (A Companion to Wolves) novels, The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr, DC Comics, and Young Justice Animated. Many other fandoms have been requested as well!

People have offered to write threesomes in Law & Order UK, Batman Nolanverse, Babylon 5, Roger Zelazny's The Chronicles of Amber, Queer as Folk US, GCB, Scandal, Big Time Rush, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts, Pundit RPF, Nobuta Wo Produce, and most of Syfy and USA's current scripted line up, in addition to many, many other fandoms.

Remember, this secret santa will reflect the series you are interested in. If you really want to see stories in a particular fandom, make sure to recruit people who are going to sign up to request and write in that fandom.

And don't forget to check out the Cookie Jar! This is a prompt meme for threesomes: make a request there for anything you like, fill a request in any way you like (not limited by minimum, maximum, or media of response.)

I Saw Three Ships Signup is open. <eta>fixed URL</eta>

I have updated information on the website, but not the color scheme, because…I am hoping to move to WordPress, so you guys can upload your stories yourselves. However, I won't switch to WordPress until after assignments are out, to avoid confusion.

In addition, I am really busy offline this year, and I am not able to do the heavy promotion that I have done in past years. If you guys want to see lots of people from lots of fandoms participate, I really need you to promote the fest to other people. I am only going to be able to post to multi-fandom comms. If you want people to participate in your particular fandom, please promote the fest in your fandom-specific comms or try to get it listed with your fandom specific newsletters.

I Saw Three Ships stories and the Cookie Jar fanworks are live.

Please remember to thank your sailor.

Except, if there is a problem with the story, if your sailor didn't write a threesome or didn't write it about the people you requested, please e-mail me about it before you comment on the story. (And, you guys, if there is a problem, I don't know about it, this year I have managed to read none of the stories while preparing them for website publication. Find and replace is a beautiful thing for someone who cantankerously refuses to WYSIWIG her HTML.)

Thank you everyone for participating, thank you pinchhitters — Amy D., aphrodite_mine, Ladyoneil, The Samuraiter, Voleuse — for saving the challenge (as you do every year), thank you everyone who participated in the Cookie Jar. (If you saw a prompt and you didn't get around to responding to it, remember that you can always post the story to the AO3 as a story for someone else just because whenever you finish it.)

Authors revealed in just one week!
