I Saw Three Ships is now open.

There is a rule change.

All stories must be posted with a warning notice. You must include one of the following warning labels:

• choose not to warn
• choose not to warn for some content
• no standardized warnings apply
• graphic depictions of violence
• major character death
• rape/non-con
• underage

You may include additional warnings for content you believe may trigger or emotionally disturb some readers. Please do not use joke warnings or warnings for content signaled in the rest of the header, e.g. schmoop, het sex, mpreg. If you send your story in without a warning notice, it will be marked choose not to warn.

The schedule is as follows:

* Thursday, October 1: signups open
* Friday, October 30: Last day of signups
* Sunday, November 1: assignments sent out
* Tuesday, December 29: Stories due by 11:59 PM, Eastern Standard Time (UTC -5).
This is a hard and fast deadline, due to the seasonal nature of the project.
* Wednesday, January 6* (Three Kings Day): stories posted
* Wednesday, January 13: authors revealed

Do I have to pick one of the fandoms listed in part one, or can I pick only write in fandoms (part 2)?

I'm not in any of the fandoms already listed.

You may offer to write only write in fandoms, but I strongly suggest that you either pick some very large fandom I have left off the list, or you bring in two or three friends from fandoms of which you are a part.

It's possible that we'd get a Backstreet request from someone who has previously participated, but we rarely get more than two or three participants interested in anime, manga, or related video games, and it is almost inevitable that they are not fans of the same anime/manga/videogames.

If I get to the end of the sign up period and no one has made a request in the fandoms you have offered to write in, I will send you an e-mail detailing the fandoms people have requested and asking if you would still like to participate or not.

I was actually gonna pimp out the challenge to see if I can get some more people.

My three fandoms were actually gonna be popslash (versus making a specific Backstreet Boys request since that might be easier to match), Reaper, and The Listener.

I am in some animanga fandoms, but I figured they'd be the hardest to match.

(It's probably my own fault for getting into small fandoms.)

Not really a fault thing, just a reality we both have to work with. I can definitely do something for you with popslash, but if a Reaper or The Listener request comes in, I'll give it to you.

Well I've made a plea in popsoundboard on LJ to try to get more writers (people have, even though a pairing was requested, asked for a threesome in their dear writer letters in the popslash sesa, so I think I can get maybe one or two popslashers from that)

I'll make pleas in the Reaper and Listener comms as well, lol.

In addition to the fandoms I selected in my sign-up, I'm willing to pinch-hit for Firefly, Leverage, and Stargate Atlantis. (All three have particular characters or threesomes that I can't write, so I couldn't just choose them on the form.)

I just wanted to say that, as always, send me an e-mail if you end up with any requests that you don't think you'll be able to easily assign. I'm familiar with a lot of fandoms, and if I think there's any way possible for me to pull it off I'll be glad to write for one that I didn't technically list. I just didn't want to list too many for the sake of your sanity, since the odds are that the majority of them won't be requested by anyone.

No problem. Oh, and just for the record, I keep a pretty up-to-date list of all the fandoms I'm familiar with on the left side of my LJ layout. It's not 100% complete, but it should give you a pretty good idea as to what I could write for.

I'd like to offer to pinch hit for Doctor Who as well - because I can only write Nine and Ten and characters associated I can't just offer the fandom because I did that once and got a threesome I couldn't write (luckily for me one of the other options was in a fandom I could write) but if you need Nine or Ten eras you may add me to the list. This is joanne_c btw :D
