Japanese and other Asian fandoms are welcome, but participation tends to be very low, so that I sometimes have difficulty matching people. The best way for you to be sure that you are matched in manga is if you convince two or more friends to sign up with you in overlapping fandoms.
If you do ask for four fandoms in which no one, including pinch hitters, has signed up to write, I will contact you and tell you which similar fandoms people have offered to write in, and ask if you'd like to make an additional request for one of those, one of the fourteen or so 'mainline' fandoms, or drop out of the challenge.
